- Promo packages that include a ‘Free Domain’ refers to 1 domain name registration for 1 year or 1 domain name transfer with a 1 year extension. The only TLD (Top Level Domain) extensions included in the promo are .ca, .com, .net, .org, .info, .biz and .me. After the first year, the domain name will renew at our current domain ‘Renewal’ prices.
- The term ‘Unlimited Websites’ is defined as a reasonable number of websites that a small business may use and may not exceed the resource capacity of the hosting plan. Running more websites than the recommended maximum number of websites as listed below may significantly reduce website performance. Performance may also be impacted by the resource demands of any individual website running within the same plan. All usage must adhere to our Acceptable Use Policy.

- WordPress Premium Support Policy — WordPress Premium Support is a monthly subscription-based service that provides you with access to a variety of maintenance, optimization, and management services, as well as fixes for a wide variety of technical WordPress related issues. Each WP Premium Support plan includes 30-minute support incidents (with no carry-over) of technical time from our team to correct the issues you need help with. The number of support incidents by plan are outlined below:
- WordPress Premium Basic – one incident
- WordPress Premium Standard – two incidents
- WordPress Premium Business – three incidents
- WordPress Premium Enterprise – five incidents
Please note that WordPress Premium Support is only for WordPress technical issues, such as plugin failures, update errors, WordPress related bugs, and other issues that affect the functionality, performance, security, or the proper display of your website.
Content updates — including changes to website copy, images, menus, widgets, headers, footers, and other elements, were conducted as a courtesy to our clients and are not covered by WordPress Premium hosting plans. These are changes that affect the appearance, layout, or information of your website, and require a different level of expertise and time than technical issues. These types of updates are available to our customers at a preferential billing rate.

BlackSun includes IMAP email addresses with our shared hosting plans. We also offer Microsoft Exchange mailboxes as an add on to our hosting services. Exchange mailboxes allow you to manage your mail, contacts, tasks and calendars using any one of your devices with complete synchronization.
In most cases you will find a website will require at least 1GB storage to allow enough space for essential files. The recommended storage size is to have at least 5GB which will offer ample storage for website files (code, picture, video, databases, etc). Anything smaller than 5GB may have you run out of storage space for your website files which can generate errors on your website and affect performance.
Our easy to use client portal allows you to upgrade or downgrade your hosting plan at any time. A pro-rated charge -or credit- would be generated for any changes made. The changes you request will take effect immediately and without downtime. If you are uncomfortable changing your own hosting plan, our support staff will be happy to assist you with any changes at any time.
You can use a domain registered with any register you choose with our hosting services. An adjustment to your domain name’s nameservers or ‘A’ record will allow you to use your domain with your hosting plan. Our support staff can assist with these types of redirections allowing you to go live sooner than later!
Our Basic service offers 1 hosted website where all other plans will offer unlimited hosted websites. If you require multiple websites to be hosted, our staff is happy to recommend a hosting plan that will suit your requirements.
Your new hosting plan can be available within seconds of your order. Usernames and passwords are emailed to you for access.
